I Found a Passion During Quarantine

I bought my first DSLR camera about 9 years ago. It’s the only one I have and I still use it today. It’s a Canon T3i (aka 600D). It’s not the best camera, but it’s the one I’ve got. I’ve spent almost the entire time shooting with that camera in AUTO, never really feeling like I needed to venture into MANUAL. Quarantine changed that.

Proud parent moment

Yesterday, my 5-year old daughter stood up for herself in a big way. Not just to anyone, but to a family member more than 13 times her age.

This family member said to her that she was “too skinny” and she needed to “eat something”.

Under her breath, my daughter said, “don’t judge me.” I don’t think she knew I could hear her, but I could see the frustration on her face. The family member continued to comment on my daughter for being “too skinny”.
